Birdy

Jasmine van den Bogaerde (Birdy) was born May 15, 1996 (aged 15). The Origin Of Lymington, Hampshire, United Kingdom. Birdy is a musician with the folk genre. He is best known as winning the starting music competition Open Mic UK in 2008, at the age of 12tahun. His version of "Skinny Love" Bon Iver, released in January 2011, peaking in the top twenty UK Singles Chart and in some areas of Europe. Self-titled debut album "Birdy" was released on November 7, 2011.

Birdy's mother was a concert pianist, and Birdy learning to play the piano at age four, and began writing his own music at the age of seven years. Birdy is currently studying in School in Lymington, Priestlands a small public school which specializes in. performing and visual arts. He sings and plays the piano. His uncle is actor Sir Dirk Bogarde.
